The three principles of Mind, Consciousness and Thought are responsible for creating the Reality that we experience in our senses and also in our external lives.


Mind + Consciousness + Thought = Reality.


The principle of Mind and Consciousness is constant, where as Thought is the variable.

The quality of your thoughts decides the quality of reality you will experience in your mental and material life. Your current reality of relationships, money, health, success or anything else is in co-relation to the quality of thoughts you have been investing your energy in, consciously or unconsciously. That means you can change your reality by changing the quality of thoughts that you invest your energy in.


Just as you do not have access to the blood in your body, I mean, you cannot do anything to it. You do not have the capacity to make the blood flow into different parts of your body. It is the responsibility of the heart to supply and control the blood flow. The heart, you might say, functions by itself. But I would say it is run by the Intelligence of the Universe.


Similarly you do not have access to the energy of Thought.  The way it works is… the energy of Thought takes different forms in every moment and the forms are the thoughts that arise in your mind. An angry thought, sad thought, creative thought….. these are few examples of the forms that the energy of Thought can take. We cannot shape the energy of Thought and make it take the form of an angry thought. That’s not in our capacity. We, however, have a choice or a little bit of free will to decide whether we want to invest our energy in that particular thought, which has arisen in our mind in that moment (If we do not understand how our minds work, we do not even see this choice).


What we can do is we can block its way (like blood. So we can eat unhealthy food and this might end up creating blockages in our mind, thus restricting the blood flow). So, our mind has the capacity to create new thoughts in every moment. How? The energy of Thought takes different forms and the forms are the thoughts that come in our mind. Since we do not know about this, we end up investing our energy in almost the same thoughts every day and thereby creating the same reality.


As we continue to invest our energy in the same thoughts daily, the space of our mind, in which new thoughts arise, gets blocked. Then we do not creative thoughts.


When we understand how our minds work, we get access to this hidden variable of Thought and then we start to get creative solutions about the task/challenge/situation in front of us.


The nature of Thought is illusionary, meaning… the emotion of anger can only be created by an angry thought. Only a sad thought can create sadness in your mind. But because of the illusionary nature of Thought, it looks as if the person or the situation that I think about has created the emotion in me. i.e. This person treated me this way and hence I got angry.  I am over whelmed or pressured because of work. My crush did not look at me, hence I am sad.  I am worried about the bills I have to pay.


Other people, situations or circumstances do not have the capacity to create feelings in us. Feelings or emotions can only be created through the power of Thought.


When we understand this insightfully, we tend to create less thoughts, leaving that space in  our minds empty for new, creative thoughts to arise. If you do not like what arises, you can choose not to invest your energy in those thoughts. You can tell the universe… I do not want to create this. What else is available?


When we do not understand how our minds work, we do not see this choice at all. It looks as if the other person is creating emotions in me, which I do not want. I don’t want to get angry, but this person had made me angry and I do not have a choice. We feel powerless because we cannot control the emotions getting created in our minds. We are forced to live in the reality that we do not like.


It is only when we understand how our minds work is when we get the key to free ourselves from these forced realities we do not want to live in.
